with the hognose project right now. Our latest Conda x Albino clutches

Clutches five and six have started
to hatch tonight! These are from an Anaconda Hognose x Albino Female
(two different females). There looks to be 16 good eggs from their
second clutches combined and we are hoping for some more nice Anacondas
100% het Albino. We have one more clutch left for the season that
should be hatching in about another week. That is from an Anaconda
x 100% het Purple Line Red Extreme Albino.

08-06-11:
Hatched out these beautiful clutchmates
tonight :) The first one out was a Patternless White Out and a few
hours later a Patternless Stripe White Out hatched. So far we have
been getting great odds on this pairing.

What else can I say.. how cool are these guys?! These are our first
Patternless White Out & Patternless Fat Tails we've produced.
I really love the Striped Patternless White Out baby and I am hoping
for a Striped Patternless next. We have a few more clutches still
incubating so hopefully we hit the odds.

Really
happy with how our first clutch of Anaconda x Albino Western Hogs
turned out. We bred our Anaconda male to our large 400g+ Albino
female. She laid a second clutch of eggs that are still incubating.
The babies hatched out nice and fat and we are very excited to see
what her next clutch produces. We have several more clutches incubating
as well from another Albino female, and a Purple Line Extreme Red
female.

He's just fine.. when they are scared they roll over on their backs
and stick their tongues out to play dead. He did not like the camera.
He was our first Anaconda that we hatched here and we've named him
Snickers and will be keeping him. He is also 100% het Albino.

06-01-11:
Spent
a few hours tonight working on the rest of our Hatchling Racks getting
them all setup and ready to go for the rest of our hatchling season.
We mainly had to get the electrical cords hooked into a homemade
power board controlled by three Helix Control Systems. Right now
we have a total of 15 rack systems stacked 3 high. This gives us
300 individual hatchling boxes to house our various hatchlings in.
We built homemade rolling castors so they can be easily moved around
for cleaning and access. I will update our Facility
Page with more info and photos once everything is done.

Well
last night was another first for us here we hatched out our first
RADAR! It was very exciting I went downstairs at about 4am to do
the final egg check of the night and there it was! It took seven
eggs to finally hit on the odds but it was def worth it. Over the
last couple of weeks we have also produced some other exciting geckos
including 3 White Out 100% het Patternless Fat Tails and a bunch
of awesome Jungle Bell Albinos. Tons more incubating as well. On
the snake side we've had our first Albino Hog lay 23 eggs and are
waiting for more from our two Purple Line Extreme Red het Albinos.
All were bred to our Anaconda male so hopefully we'll get a lot
of nice babies from that :) The ball pythons are also getting close
to laying and hopefully we'll get a few nice clutches from them
this year. Or not, they might just decide not to lay. Gotta love
balls :)

We received
our new shipment of Boaphile
Plastics Rhino RaXX this week. We ordered another 13 stack of
their 20 rack Sterilite systems in preparation for hatchling season.
With eggs being laid almost everyday now we are definitely going
to need these racks! We are still in the process of unpacking them
and we need to build a pedestal base system to fit into the new
Gecko Room. I will update more on that soon.

Brumation
Ends! We brought the Western Hogs out of brumation today and I'm
happy to report they all seem to be just fine and ready to go! We'll
bring them back up to temps slowly over the next few days and keep
an extra close eye out on them for any problems.

02-13-11:
Decided
to try out our revised lightobx with a new photo shoot tonight of
a couple of holdback Hyper Xanthics we've decided to keep. The first
gecko is a Mack Snow Hyper Xanthic and displays impressive amounts
of dark bold banding throughout her body. We are hoping to develop
and increase this trait with future breedings. The second gecko
is a Hyper Xanthic x Bold Stripe and she displays an insane amount
of high bright yellow throughout her entire body. As you can see,
she has very little dark bold markings.

2-10-11:
Dramatic
changes to our website are now completed! We have been upgrading
the site slowly over the past week or so with an updated look and
feel. With nearly 60 pages to redo it's been quite the process.
Hopefully everyone likes the new layout. In addition to the colors
and graphics, we've added a new script to our available pages that
will popup the image without creating a new window. This will make
things much nicer when viewing our available animals. The script
is called Highslide and costs $29 to use on commercial websites.
It is well worth the money!

02-04-11:
Eggs spotted!
Several of our Leopard Geckos are already showing eggs in their
bellies and have begun the digging and scratching in their boxes
in preparation for egg laying. We are expecting a huge amount of
awesome geckos this year! In anticipation to that we have created
an Article entitled How
to Incubate Leopard Gecko Eggs. Check it out and let us know
what you think!

01-01-11:
Western
Hognose Brumation Begins! Today we officially added our Hogs into
brumation. For the last several weeks we have stopped offering them
food and slowly begun dropping their temperatures a few degrees
everyday. They are currently being cooled down at 58 degrees and
we will keep them there until March 1st when we will bring them
out of brumation and being warming them up and offering them food.
I am always so paranoid during this time, I open them up and check
on them at least 3 or 4 times a week! I'll make it up to them in
March I promise!
